Who’s behind Campo Kiwi
Fernando Boris
Fernando is a veterinarian from Argentina, specialised in animal reproduction. His connection to New Zealand dairy began long before he emigrated — as a student, he met Barbara Kuriger (NZ Sharemilker of the Year) and Colin Holmes during their visit to Argentina, and went on to develop the market for LIC genetic material across South America.
In Argentina he held senior academic roles: lecturer in Animal Production, Animal Improvement and Genetics; Secretary of Technology Transfer at the National University of the Litoral; and inaugural Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (Veterinary degree) at the Catholic University of Santa Fe.
After moving to New Zealand, Fernando worked his way from Farm Assistant to 2IC on farms of 450 and 1,600 cows, Farm Manager, and three seasons delivering reproduction, embryo transfer and bull-testing programmes for Xcell Breeding Services. He has spent the last two years as Contract Milker, responsible for more than 1,000 cows on more than 500 hectares. Everything taught through Campo Kiwi comes from that lived, on-farm experience.

Campo Kiwi closes that gap before people ever set foot on a New Zealand farm — covering NZ herd systems, reproduction and KPIs, farming-specific English, and an honest introduction to Kiwi and Māori culture.
